Overview

The merchandise seller is responsible for providing exceptional service while selling merchandise and creating memorable experiences for Guests from around the world. The role involves handling payment transactions and inventory with accuracy, and creating a fun, engaging experience for Guests of all ages. This position contributes to the overall success of the retail business and plays an integral part in making every Guests visit memorable. The role has a large impact on the efficiency of daily operations and requires a positive, proactive, and professional approach, collaborating with colleagues to meet goals. As a revenue-generating role, individuals are expected to achieve results through proactive selling, focusing on promotions & incentives, adapting to different sales areas and techniques, and maximising sales opportunities throughout a sales period.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting sales, service, and presentation goals
  • Proactively welcoming Guests, assisting in selecting merchandise and providing product information
  • Operating the EPOS till system accurately and handling transactions effectively
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and restocking merchandise as needed
  • Supporting in dressing displays and arranging merchandise to attract Guests, maintaining Disney Brand standards
  • Keeping the shop or kiosk areas clean and organized
  • Maintaining a positive, smiley and friendly attitude towards Guests and colleagues; demonstrating a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Offering promotions or upselling products to enhance the guest experience and meet sales targets
  • Keeping up to date with product knowledge and sales promotions
  • Following safety and security procedures to prevent loss and theft of merchandise
  • Attending team meetings and training sessions
  • Assisting with stock deliveries
  • Working both independently and as part of the team to meet performance goals
  • Adhering to all set policies, procedures, and administrative requirements
