Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) London is looking for talented Feature Animators (All Levels) to join our team and help us push the boundaries of storytelling. If you have a passion for bringing high-quality characters, creatures, and objects to life on the big screen, we want to hear from you.
At ILM, you'll be at the intersection of artistic vision and cutting-edge technology, working on some of the most memorable feature animation projects in the industry. Start dates ranging from Autumn 2026 through to Spring 2027 for various contract durations.
What You'll Do
- Animate believable characters of the highest quality for feature film shots using a variety of animation software, primarily Maya.
- Take ownership of your shots, ensuring successful and timely completion.
- Shoot reference for performance choices to help drive the direction of your shots.
- Collaborate within a team, providing and receiving feedback during regular dailies to find the best aesthetic solutions.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and quality while consistently meeting production deadlines.
- Mid and Senior level artists will mentor entry-level Animators, helping them elevate their work and skills.
What We're Looking For
- Masters of their craft, possessing deep knowledge of performance and movement.
- Proven experience in traditional or computer animation with demonstrable work on feature animated films/series, or visual effects character focused projects.
- Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles, acting, film production, and compositional design.
- Exceptional animation skills, evidenced by a strong portfolio or demo reel.
- A solid understanding of the CG production pipeline and processes.
- Proficiency and solid experience in software Maya.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills to thrive in a collaborative production environment.

This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
