We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our External Reporting team here at Disney, on a 12-month fixed term contract! As a Senior Accountant, the successful postholder will support the External Reporting team and Disney Controllership & Tax Executives with Statutory Financial Statements preparation, ATOL and ABTA audits, and will work closely with the EMEA Tax team. This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for UK legal entities in line with FRS 102.
  • Consulting with the auditors throughout the audit cycle to facilitate timely completion of the audit and to ensure timely filing of the audited financial statements.
  • Support the Corporate Tax function by preparing supporting schedules for tax calculations and any ad‑hoc tax audit requirements.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for ad‑hoc external audit deliverables – supporting SSC, EMEA Controllership.
  • Consult with various teams on distribution projects and company re‑organisation projects.
  • Complete interim financial review and variance analysis for UK legal entities.
  • Completion and submission of various key Balance Sheet accounts across the UK legal entities.
  • Identify and drive areas of improvement within current processes to maintain a high standard of service in a more efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley and Disney Minimum Control Standards by taking part in the annual SOX testing procedure.
  • Support management and wider finance team on any ad‑hoc duties and projects.

Qualifications

  • You will be qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) at the Senior Accountant grade or at the Finalist’s stage of your studies.
  • Strong experience of data analysis.
  • Strong educational qualifications including accounting work experience.
  • Strong Excel skills are important.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Company accounting experience is preferred.
