This is a permanent position of employment, and the required hours will be 39 hours per week.
About the Role & Team
This is an exciting opportunity to support our new store at Cheshire Oaks.
The Store Manager will play a key role in bringing Disney magic to Guests during this exciting new chapter for the business.
The Store Manager plays the role of a brand ambassador by representing the Disney brand to the Cast and Guests.
They will develop a high energy work environment that supports the achievement of all company goals and initiatives.
They inspire cast and store management team to achieve maximum performance levels through daily feedback and performance management.
The individual leads the team in fostering teamwork and collaboration among Store, peers and Home Base partners.
What You Will Do
- Brand Ambassador
- Develops a high performing Cast through effective recruiting, hiring, retention and performance management strategies for Cast and Store leadership.
Fosters a culture of high performing teams.
- Ensures the Cast’s full engagement by providing role clarification, listening, asking questions and sharing information to continually train and develop the entire Cast.
- Holds themself, Cast and Store Leadership accountable for their contribution to the Store’s results by aligning clear goals and expectations, tracking progress, ensuring appropriate feedback and addressing performance issues promptly.
Provides current, effective feedback and ideas to executives in a variety of settings, one-on-one, conference calls as well as in groups.
Designs an approach in a manner that is seen as appropriate and positive.
- Supervises the Leadership team and Cast in the use of innovation, creative language, technology and product to bring stories to life for internal and external Guests.
Inspires others to achieve results through a sense of purpose, a spirit of cooperation and personal growth, especially while performing the Stage Manager role.
- Supports and participates in initiatives that give back and have a positive impact on the internal (Store) community and the external community.
- Adheres to all Company directives which promote the protection and preservation of the environment.
- In certain store locations it maybe a requirement that the management teams are first aid trained to comply with regulations

- Analyses and monitors sales results of product to determine action plans to drive sales based on product placement.
- Maintains impeccable, Company directed visual standards, incorporating in Store technology, through Cast accountability.
- Plans and oversees product placement to ensure adherence to Stage Set guidelines, fits Store architecture and contributes to the overall story being told.
- Ensures that Store is neat, clean, organized and that all maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Monitors Cast execution of merchandise flow including shipment processing, recovery & replenishment and visual standards to ensure all processes are efficient.
- Provides feedback and coaching to ensure Disney brand standards are consistently achieved.
- Leads and performs scripted and non-scripted events for Guests and Cast Members in both one on one and group settings.
- Establishes the Guests, both internal and external, as the number one priority to ensure that positive, memorable experiences are achieved.
- May periodically perform sales support and Guest service during scheduled shifts.
- Coaches Store leadership and models how to adapt to the ever changing environment, different Guest needs while continually providing Exceptional Guest Service.
- Performs the Sales Manager role by holding Cast accountable for sharing knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the Disney brand with internal and external Guests.
- Cultivates positive, trusting and effective working relationships within the Store, District, Region, Zone and executive partners.
Uses these and all resources, to develop strategies and solutions.

- Makes sound business decisions that balance competing priorities.
Chooses the best strategies after evaluating all options and by using the filter of what is best for the Guest, both internal and external.
- Creates strategies that drive positive results in key performance indicators including sales, conversion, ADS and preventing loss.
- Thinks strategically when evaluating business trends, forecasting sales and approving/flexing the schedule to leverage payroll to appropriately meet the needs of the business and adhere to payroll budget.
- Sets strategies to drive gross margin performance by ensuring that new, high margin product gets prioritized Stage placement, replenishment and receives focused selling efforts.
- Performs daily Store opening and closing procedures balancing all Store funds.
- Controls expenses to positively impact the Store’s contribution including store labour and manages efficient loss prevention procedures.
- Champions adherence to all SOPs including all aspects of Health and Safety to protect Company assets and to comply with Company policies and procedures, and employment laws.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team that drives results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business priorities through time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong proficiency for business acumen
- Prior management experience in specialty retail preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Understanding and adhering to the Health and Safety guidelines with regards to manual handling and the use of ladders, as appropriate.
