We are looking for a Senior Antipiracy Analyst to join our Antipiracy Operations team! The successful Senior Analyst will be part of Disney’s Global Antipiracy Group that is responsible for providing antipiracy services with a focus on combating online piracy of film, television, live events and the sales of unauthorized and unlicensed consumer products related to Disney properties worldwide. This position works closely with industry associations, outside counsel, Disney businesses, and legal teams.

Duties include:

  • Supporting online investigations, researching piracy technologies, websites/e‑commerce platforms and apps, tracking piracy data, providing regular reports on piracy and consumer trends.
  • Evaluating prospective providers of antipiracy services and managing existing providers under the supervision of lawyers in the Disney Antipiracy Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide antipiracy support for film, television, live events and consumer products by utilizing piracy monitoring services and enforcement methodologies (manual and automated systems).
  • Support and lead OSINT investigations into piracy sites, services, and operators, and create reports to drive referrals and legal action.
  • Support research into landscape analysis, consumer behavior, piracy trends, and make observations to improve the efficacy of enforcement.
  • Research and monitor piracy technologies, websites and apps, online e‑commerce marketplaces to stay up to date on latest digital piracy methods and seller behavior to obfuscate detection.
  • Generate, analyze and provide regular reports that help clients better understand piracy information and drive actions.
  • Collaborate with internal groups to contribute to and/or drive antipiracy initiatives.
  • Support other team members to solve ad hoc requests.
  • Manage and review client deliverables and data to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Manage and support antipiracy related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Ideally a minimum of five years’ working experience in a corporate environment, private company, trade association or law enforcement agency in online investigations, data analysis and/or technology operations.
  • Solid understanding of online e‑commerce marketplaces, online piracy site landscape, and online live‑streaming sites (pirated and legitimate).
  • Strong PC and Internet skills required, such as Internet architecture, websites, web browsers, digital video, Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as MS Excel or Tableau and experience with advanced Excel formulas and functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Working knowledge of DMCA and applicable copyright laws.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, project‑management, time‑management and deadline‑management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with App/HTML coding (a plus).
  • Use of AI LLMs for data analysis and scripting repetitive tasks (a plus).
  • Availability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours (a plus).
  • Passionate about Disney content – including film, TV, sports and video games – and branded consumer products.
