Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology (DEE P&T) brings together the best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams to drive the global operations for the Company’s content engines. DEE P&T manages the P&L, distribution, network, engineering operations, sales, advertising, and key technology functions for Disney’s streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ HotStar, as well as domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DEE P&T plays a pivotal role in developing products, platforms, and innovations, leveraging technology to drive business performance and enhance consumer engagement. The Senior Data & Analytics Engineer role is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the team, providing strategic direction for data-centric systems, aligning with TWDC broader strategy and market needs across Domestic, EMEA, APAC and LATAM. This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of data systems, from ideation and planning to development, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
  • Promote data literacy and accessibility across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance, working with data engineers and stakeholders to establish and maintain robust data processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify data needs, prioritize projects, and optimize data usage.
  • Use data to inform media applications decisions, identify opportunities for new application and features, and develop data-driven application systems that meet user needs.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for data-driven systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Define and track key metrics and KPIs to measure the success of data systems and inform future development efforts.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to inform media application decisions and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with DBA’s and systems infrastructure teams to build and maintain the data infrastructure for optimal performance and resilience.
