Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) London is looking for talented VFX Animators (All Levels) to join our team and help us push the boundaries of storytelling. If you have a passion for bringing high-quality characters, creatures, and objects to life on the big screen, we want to hear from you. At ILM, you'll be at the intersection of artistic vision and cutting‑edge technology, working on some of the most memorable VFX animation projects in the industry. Start dates ranging from August 2026 through to December 2026 for various contract durations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the successful animation of a series of shots on a specific film or episodic project.
  • Participates as a team member in determining various aesthetic solutions; provides feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies on a regular basis.
  • Maintains or exceeds a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in traditional animation or computer animation.
  • Demonstrable experience working in cel, stopmotion or computer animation with experience working on feature films.
  • Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles, acting, film production and compositional design while demonstrating exceptional skills as an animator based as evidenced by portfolio, demo reel and references.
  • Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting; experienced knowledge of Maya as well as other supporting software programs.
  • Knowledge of constraint techniques, and the basics of rigging.
  • Knowledge of both the CG production pipeline and the other production processes at ILM.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

As part of your application please submit a demo reel, shot breakdown, or equivalent showcasing your work. A current resume is required. This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
