During this Apprenticeship at Disney+ and National Geographic, you will get the chance to work side-by-side with industry leaders while you study towards your apprenticeship qualification – Level 4 Public Relations & Communications. You will gain valuable skills working within one of the strongest families of brands on a global scale while building lasting connections. Imagine that!

You will be supporting on both Disney+ and National Geographic and have an essential role in helping the team devise and implement creative communications campaigns to drive audiences to our programming, platforms, and brands. In your role you will get to support on some of the biggest TV shows in the industry from global hits such as The Bear, smash hit local Originals such as Rivals and premium factual storytelling from National Geographic including Secrets of The Penguins.

Working closely with our PR Coordinator, Intern and Publicists, your role will play an integral part within the team with support for the delivery of key press materials, assets, assisting with finance and the day-to-day press office management for Disney+ and National Geographic.

As a Public Relations and Communications Apprentice, you will be involved in a wide range of duties which could include supporting the team in research and managing ad-hoc projects throughout your Apprenticeship. As an apprentice will also get to support on some world class events including premieres, TV festivals and talent panels.

This Apprenticeship will develop your communication, stakeholder management and time management skills to start your career in Public Relations and Communications as well as obtaining the Level 4 Public Relations and Communications qualification.

Eligibility

  • Must have achieved or be on target to achieve two C’s or above at A Levels or equivalent by September 2025

  • Must have achieved 5 grades 4 – 9 at GCSE (C or above) including Maths and English

  • Must have the right to work in the UK already in place

  • Available to start the Apprenticeship in September 2025

About You

This is an Apprenticeship, so we are looking for potential and we do not expect you to have all the skills and knowledge related to the role. We want to see your enthusiasm, eagerness to learn on the job and commitment to your apprenticeship studies. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion to start a career in PR and/or Communications

  • A passion about all things TV, films and streaming. You should know about the latest releases.

  • A desire to be consuming all kinds of media – digital, print and social

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties

  • You think creatively and bring a ‘can do’ solutions-based attitude to tasks

  • An ability and willingness to take on new and different challenges

  • Ability to write clear, concise content and proof read copy

  • Passion for and familiarity with the UK media landscape and social channels

  • Strong MS Office or Mac skills
