The Role
The Green Street Bristol AM supports the General Manager and Kitchen Manager operationally ensuring the overall growth and success of the business. This role is responsible for supporting the GM in overseeing the overall operations of the store, ensuring consistent service quality, food safety, team performance, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for an ambitious candidate keen to progress in Hospitality and be part of a growing brand. This is a key role in the Management team.
In a Green Street store, that responsibility shows up in a few key ways:
- Leading the team: setting the tone, supporting training, and keeping standards high during busy services
- Customer Service: Setting the tone of Positive, Friendly Vibes
- Managing food quality and consistency: ensuring every Legendary Bap meets brand and customer expectations
- Maintaining health and safety standards: keeping the site clean, compliant, and well organised
A typical day might include:
- Supporting the GM on staffing, set up and setting standard for pace and customer service.
- Ensuring consistent execution of customer service and presentation standards.
- Maintaining compliance via Alert 65, as well as managing cash handling and supporting the GM with premises security.
Key Skills we’d like to see:
To succeed in an AM role, you need a mix of operational knowledge and a positive leadership presence. It’s about setting the standard for the entire team.
- Leadership and presentation: Well presented with a clean and professional appearance, exhibiting exemplary behaviour at all times to set the tone for the team.
- Communication skills: Strong communication presence in-store. A go‑to for your team, reliable and supportive to your GM & KM.
- Operational experience: Solid knowledge of all operational areas, including health & safety protocols. Experience in a Bakery/Busy Cafe a must. Knowledge of Polaris, CPL and Alert 65 a plus.
- Opening & Closing Responsibilities: Confidently run opening and closing shifts.
- Team Management: Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new starters. Assist with rotas and holiday planning when required.
