The Waffle House is looking for an experienced, skilled full-time Barista to join our team at our St Albans House. We're a third-generation family-run business that has been doing things our own way since 1978. Quality ingredients, proper food and great service have always been at the heart of what we do.

We're looking for someone who takes real pride in their craft. Coffee is an important part of the experience here, so we're looking for a confident barista with the skills to consistently produce high-quality drinks in a busy, high-volume environment. Alongside great coffee, you'll also be involved in creating our fresh juices, refreshing drinks and cocktails.

The role

As part of our drinks team, you'll be responsible for producing consistently excellent drinks while delivering warm, friendly service to our guests.

Your experience should include:

  • Producing high-quality speciality coffee in a busy environment
  • Confidently working with a high-volume drinks service
  • Creating fresh juices and other made-to-order drinks
  • Experience making cocktails
  • Maintaining excellent presentation and attention to detail
  • Keeping your workspace clean, organised and well stocked
  • Working as part of a busy, supportive team

Experience or training in alcoholic beverages, cocktails, beers and wines would be highly regarded.

What we're looking for

  • Have a minimum of one year's experience in a quality, high-volume drinks environment
  • Be a skilled and experienced barista
  • Have a genuine eye for detail and high standards
  • Be confident producing consistently excellent coffee
  • Have experience creating fresh drinks, juices and cocktails
  • Be over 18 due to the sale of alcohol
  • Be available to work weekends
  • Live within easy travelling distance of our St Albans House
  • Be reliable, positive and able to work well as part of a team

Please note: only applicants with the appropriate barista and high-volume drinks experience will be considered.
