Security Technician
VPS is an award-winning, industry-leading company providing security solutions to the UK vacant property, site security, and traffic management markets. The role involves working outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions, focusing on fitting steel security screens, doors, and alarms into vacant properties.
The work can be physically demanding but rewarding, fostering a strong team spirit and camaraderie.
Role Overview:
- Fitting heavy-duty security equipment, including mobile alarms, into vacant properties (some working at height required).
- Completing job reports via a PDA device.
- Driving company vehicles to and from sites and to disposal tips when necessary.
- Attending training sessions and using PPE as required.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Participating in the depot call-out rota.
- Supporting other teams as needed and performing ad hoc duties as assigned by the First Line Manager.
Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Ability to lift heavy doors and screens.
- Good at prioritising tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Full UK/EU Driving Licence required.
