As a Business Sales Executive, you will be engaged in pre-sales and account management, sales quotations and working alongside the sales team in the Telecommunication industry. An ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, determined and goal-oriented. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Sales Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and bringing on new clients. Your expertise will be essential in expanding our client base. This is an office-based role in our Leicester HQ.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- An in-depth understanding of the UK telecommunication landscape.
- Preferred: At least 2 years of proven experience working in the telecommunications sales sector.
- Good knowledge of marketing, CRM and sales processes of telecommunications software.
- Ability to analyse customer requirements and functional needs.
- Excellent soft, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and source a strong pipeline of prospective clients and qualified leads.
- Meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
- Facilitate pre-sales process for new leads, including first contact, discovery phase, meetings and contract negotiation.
- Coordinate proposals/quotations preparations in cooperation with other departments to prepare on time and high-quality proposals.
- Actively manage existing customer accounts, address key objectives and strategy, concerns and escalations, overall status and new sales opportunities.
- Deliver in-person sales presentations with prospective and existing customers.
- Research and stay updated with telecommunication industry trends and insights.
- Attend and actively participate in conferences and industry events for the company.

- Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring favourable terms for both the company and the client.
JOB PURPOSE
As a part of the New Business Sales Team for The VoIP Shop, you will contact inbound sales enquiries by phone and email. Confirm requirements and send quotation. These will be followed up with further calls or site visits to close the sale. On-site visits, where required, you will attend appointments with senior decision-makers to demonstrate our phone systems, products and services and understand the customers' current Telecom, Broadband and IT infrastructure.
This role is new business focused, so you will work closely with our internal sales team who will book appointments into your diary per month including online leads based on proven close abilities & KPIs being met. You will spend time quoting new customers over the phone or visiting them within the UK or on customer webinars doing a 2-stage close process for new business, selling to pre-qualified businesses phone systems, connectivity, and mobiles all within Telecoms & combining Managed IT products.
Ideally, you will have around 1 year of direct sales experience within telecoms or broadband sales, although this is not essential for the right candidate. You must be a well-organised, structured sales professional who is energetic and charismatic & believes in reaching an ambitious earnings package over any year.

- Convert leads with a target 40% close rate.
- Achieve and maintain a high level of pre-sales service.

- Full UK driving license.

Pay: £24,420.00-£29,583.00 per year (depending on experience). Uncapped commission on target earnings of £50k+.
