The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Localisation Project Manager who can hit the ground running. This is an end-to-end role, owning projects from initial client brief and quoting through to delivery and invoicing — with real responsibility, real deadlines and real scale. We work on large, high-profile localisation projects across voice, translation, subtitling and audio-visual media. We don’t have the capacity for someone who needs hand-holding — we need a calm, capable problem-solver who takes ownership, spots issues early and gets things done. This role is Manchester-based and sits at the heart of our production team.

How you’ll work (our values in action)

  • Mastery – you own the detail, the timeline and the outcome
  • Human-Led – you communicate clearly, kindly and professionally with clients and suppliers
  • Entrepreneurial – you think ahead, solve problems and improve how things are done
  • Effortless – you make complex projects feel smooth for everyone else

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Managing localisation projects across human and AI voiceover, translation, subtitling, transcription and video editing
  • Quoting accurately & confidently, balancing budgets, timelines and scope
  • Acting as the main client contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Sourcing & managing global suppliers (voice artists, translators, subtitlers, editors) and negotiating rates and deadlines
  • Quality-checking deliveries against specs before anything reaches the client
  • Anticipating risks & resolving issues before they escalate
  • Prioritising & juggling multiple live projects without dropping the ball
  • Supporting studio bookings & production queries where required
  • Using booking, subtitling and office software confidently (training provided where needed)

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years’ experience in localisation, media production or project management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving instincts — you don’t wait to be told what’s wrong
  • Confident communicator with clients and suppliers at all levels
  • Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable taking responsibility
  • A self-starter who manages their own time and workload effectively

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Degree in languages, translation or a related field
  • Experience with subtitling, translation or voiceover workflows
  • Knowledge of audio-visual localisation processes

Why work with us?

The Voiceover Gallery has over 20 years’ experience delivering high-quality voice and localisation projects for global clients across TV, advertising, digital and branded content. We blend human expertise with evolving technology and take pride in doing things properly — without unnecessary drama. We’re ambitious, busy and growing. This role matters.

Benefits

  • 28 days’ annual leave, rising to 33 days with service (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Discretionary annual bonus (company & individual performance)
  • Monthly Deliveroo lunch social
  • Life assurance (up to 3× salary with service)
  • Contributory pension scheme
