We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for this 18 month role.
Role Overview:
Setting out engineers assist the engineering team by utilizing site plans, advanced technology, and precise instruments to locate and mark both above-ground and below-ground features throughout construction projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Perform setting out, levelling, and surveying on site.
- Act as a liaison between engineers and the construction team to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of plans and drawings.
- Provide setting-out support to the construction team.
- Maintain a site diary.
- Report progress to the engineering and survey departments.
- Offer technical support on-site.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
- Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
- Familiarity with surveying techniques and construction processes.
- Proficiency in using survey equipment.
- Experience in groundworks and drainage setting out.
- Good knowledge of utilities and related work is required.
- Strong numerical ability and aptitude for mathematical calculations.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical data.
- Logical and lateral thinking skills.
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
