About Our Client
Our client is a SaaS and broking solution that enables retailers, merchants and finance houses to offer multi-lender consumer finance through a single platform. They work with many of the UK's leading banks and finance providers, helping retailers offer flexible finance options to their customers across four sales channels, including their best-in-class e-commerce solution. Their technology, product and service are delivered entirely in-house. This gives them the agility to move quickly, maintain high standards and provide an exceptional level of service to their partners.
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of broker and SaaS partners, including merchants and lenders. This is a commercially focused relationship-management role, combining account management, technology and business development. You'll be responsible for ensuring their partners get maximum value from their POS and SaaS solutions, while identifying opportunities to increase engagement, retention and revenue. As a senior member of the team, you'll become a trusted adviser to their partners and their key stakeholders, understanding their businesses, identifying opportunities for growth and working closely with their internal teams to deliver the right solutions. You'll be the primary point of contact for your portfolio, building relationships at multiple levels and helping their partners get the very best from their company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and develop a portfolio of strategic partners, building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Lead partner onboarding and deployment, coordinating closely with retailers, merchants and internal teams to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
- Drive account growth by identifying opportunities to increase adoption of their POS and SaaS solutions, including appropriate upselling and cross-selling.
- Analyse account performance, transaction data and product adoption metrics to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Develop and present regular account reviews, covering KPIs, performance, growth opportunities and strategic priorities.
- Act as a senior escalation point for operational, training and service-related requirements, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with Product and Technical teams to represent partner requirements and help shape future product development and innovation.
- Provide proactive product education and guidance, ensuring partners understand and maximise the value of their technology.
- Monitor the market, keeping up to date with developments in retail, payments, POS, SaaS and consumer finance, as well as competitor activity and emerging technologies.
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within existing accounts, contributing directly to partner retention and revenue growth.
About You
You'll be an experienced account management or commercial professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and finding opportunities to grow existing partnerships. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in account management, business development or partner success, ideally within financial services, payments, POS or SaaS.
- A strong understanding of retail operations and payment technology.
- A track record of successfully managing and growing a diverse portfolio of business partners.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the confidence to identify opportunities and have commercially focused conversations.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A genuine interest in technology and how it can improve efficiency, customer experience and business performance.
- The ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear, practical benefits for customers.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work effectively across Sales, Product, Technical and Support teams.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
What Our Client Offers:
- £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary + OTE £60,000 - £65,000.
- 33 days' paid holiday, including statutory bank holidays.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
