The Regional Solutions Architect role at Marsh offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of technology leadership within the Specialty business, operating in the complex and high-value London Market insurance environment. You will be a key player in transforming how technology is designed, delivered, and experienced, moving from traditional project delivery to an outcome-driven, product-led approach. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to create innovative, practical solutions that leverage AI and adhere to both global standards and UK-specific market requirements. Your architectural decisions will have a direct impact on the success of major initiatives, shaping the future of Marsh's technology landscape.
What we will count on you to:
- Act as the UK design authority for Marsh Risk Technology, providing sign-off on all significant initiatives before build.
- Own the technical approach for every major programme across the Specialty value stream and provide architecture guidance across the wider UK portfolio.
- Work within a product-led, agile operating model, collaborating closely with TPMs, BAs, engineers, and product owners.
- Shape solution designs continuously from discovery through sprint planning to build, ensuring architecture is integral and practical.
- Lead the AI design agenda by designing platforms, integration patterns, and data flows that support AI capabilities in the Specialty business.
- Interface with global Enterprise Architecture to adopt standards beneficial to the UK business while protecting UK-specific requirements.
- Play a central role in UK capability modelling, mapping applications against capabilities, scoring technology health, and influencing APM investment decisions.
What you need to have:
- Deep fluency in London Market placing platforms and integration patterns (Whitespace, PPL, API ecosystem).
- Strong knowledge of market messaging standards such as ACORD (MRC, AL3) and structured data initiatives like Blueprint Two.
- Experience with post-bind and processing architecture including policy administration, endorsements, premium flows, and carrier settlement.
- Expertise in delegated authority system design, including cover holder onboarding, binding authority systems, and bordereaux processing.
- Understanding of Lloyd's market infrastructure (IMR, ECF, Xchanging/DXC, Lloyd's Digital Services) and regulatory submission pipelines.
- Familiarity with claims system architecture covering FNOL, claims management, advocacy workflows, and settlement processing.
- Proficiency in AI platform architecture including model deployment, feature stores, data pipelines, and responsible AI governance frameworks.
What makes you stand out?
- Hands-on architect who actively shapes technology decisions rather than reviewing them post-factum.
- Ability to work seamlessly in both agile sprint reviews and formal architecture review boards.
- Proven track record of designing solutions that are not only well-architected but also successfully built and delivered.
- Leadership in integrating AI into solution design and using AI-assisted tools in architectural practice.
- Strategic thinker who understands the London Market ecosystem deeply and anticipates future market and technology trends.
