Overview
The Violence Intervention Project is a violence reduction charity working with young people age 12–25 across W. London. We’re looking for a volunteer to help make an animated video for The Shame Initiative, showing what shame is, how it shows up for young people, and why understanding it matters.

What are we looking for?
- A strong interest in visual storytelling, animation, or video-based communication.

- Experience creating animated videos, motion graphics, or short films (professionally, academically, or independently).
What will you be doing?
Alongside our direct work, we lead The Shame Initiative — a national programme that helps professionals understand shame as a key driver of violence, disengagement, and harmful behaviour. We want to create a short animated video that explains:
- What shame is.
- How it sits in the world of young people.
- How shame can shape behaviour and identity.
- Why recognising and responding to shame differently matters.
