We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Practice Nurse to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering a variety of nursing services to our patients, from chronic disease management to health promotion and preventative care. You will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Main duties of the job
- Provide general nursing services, including immunisations, wound care, cervical smears, and travel advice.
- Assist in the management of long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.
- Perform health assessments and offer lifestyle advice to patients.
- Support the provision of health promotion and preventative care services.
- Collaborate with GPs and the wider healthcare team to manage patient care and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with practice policies and confidentiality guidelines.
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of service improvements.
- Respond to patient queries and provide education and support where needed.
We are a friendly team of General Practitioners, Nursing Team and an admin and reception team. We have around 9,600 patients across both sites. We have two locations, South Normanton and Pinxton Surgery where our staff work across both sites.
