Job responsibilities
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to patients via face to face, telephone, and home visits within The Village Surgery.
- The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract.
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
- Working independently to effectively manage case load and long-term conditions.
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks as requested by The Village Surgery.
- Adhering and maintaining best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records in conjunction with policy and guidance.
- Reviewing and adhering to The Village Surgery policies and guidelines.
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Contributing to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Contributing towards QOF.
- Attending and contributing effectively to weekly/monthly practice meetings as required.

- Member of the GMC Register; experience of working in a primary care and urgent care environment.

- Clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability; good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute Primary care presentations.
- Experience of QOF.
- Experience of clinical audits.
