We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to support the daily operations of The Village Rest and our accommodation Glenview Luss. This role is key to ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures, maintaining exceptional service standards, and guiding our teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences across both sites. Responsibilities

  • Opening & Closing Procedures
    • Ensure both premises are fully operational by completing all opening and closing procedures.
    • Prepare the restaurant and accommodation for service, ensuring all areas are clean, organised, and guest ready.
    • Manage guest check ins and check outs efficiently, providing clear information on amenities, property features, and local attractions.
    • Secure the premises at the end of each shift and confirm all tasks are completed to standard.
  • Team Leadership & Guidance
    • Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring duties are carried out efficiently and to company standards.
    • Provide constructive feedback and help maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
    • Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless day to day operations.
    • Oversee staff timekeeping and manage break schedules.
    • Address staffing issues or customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure full compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and health & safety regulations.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across both properties.
    • Handle cash and till procedures with accuracy and accountability.

    • Deliver clear and thorough handovers, highlighting key updates, unresolved issues, and ongoing tasks.
  • Customer Service & Guest Satisfaction
