ROLE PURPOSE

In this stand-alone role, you will take ownership of all day-to-day marketing activity across the business - managing the brand guidelines, coordinating creative output, and delivering campaigns that directly support ticket sales, visitor volume targets, event activations, and commercial partnerships. You will focus on the end-to-end customer journey, creating engaging, practical touchpoints that strengthen brand connection and drive consistent commercial results.

We’re seeking a marketing professional with strong PR, digital, and website expertise, who is confident delivering high-impact campaigns and understands the commercial realities of a ticketed visitor attraction. This is a hands-on role, suited to someone comfortable working independently on day-to-day activity while collaborating closely with agencies and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Agency Management: Manage day-to-day relationships with marketing partners (brand, advertising, digital, website, and research), including briefing, approvals, and performance reporting.
  • Advertising & Media Campaign Management: Support the delivery of the annual marketing and communications strategy. Prepare clear, insight-led briefs for media and creative agencies and review proposed approaches. Oversee campaign timelines, asset production, and creative delivery. Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance. Refine messaging in response to market trends, customer insights, and trading priorities.
  • Commercial & Trading Support: Work closely with commercial teams to track daily ticket sales, identify trading opportunities, and adjust marketing activity to maximise performance. Use real-time performance data to optimise campaigns, pricing-led messaging, promotions, and conversion-driving tactics. Support the development and marketing of seasonal events, activations, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities to drive incremental revenue. Ensure all marketing activity contributes to both brand strength and commercial KPIs, including visitor numbers, yield, and digital conversion.
  • Brand Management: Act as brand guardian across all materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and commercial priorities for visitor growth and revenue. Work with external partners to produce high-quality brand assets that elevate perception and reinforce consistency. Identify, develop, and deliver on-brand creative opportunities that resonate with target audiences, collaborating closely with wider marketing and operational teams. Ensure brand accuracy and consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Digital Communications: Manage social media platforms, produce content and ensure digital activity supports commercial, sales, and marketing objectives. Lead website management, UX improvements, and conversion-rate optimisation across daily ticket sales and event-related pages. Manage E-CRM activity, including content planning, creation, and scheduling. Gather and analyse audience insights, presenting recommendations to inform decision-making. Monitor digital channel performance in partnership with the media buying agency, ensuring strong ROI across all activity. Support internal communication initiatives, including newsletters, events, and cross-department updates. Contribute to Corporate Responsibility programmes by responding to charity requests and assisting with delivery.
  • PR: Manage media and influencer visits in collaboration with the Guest Experience team, ensuring smooth execution and effective follow-up. Coordinate filming, influencer, and photography requests-including out-of-hours support where required. Generate creative ideas to drive positive press coverage, social engagement, and media visibility. Support the sales team with industry award submissions as needed.
  • Administration: Report on marketing activity and provide regular updates to senior management. Manage administrative tasks including signage printing, business card orders, and other brand-related materials. Raise purchase orders and oversee financial administration associated with marketing activity.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a managerial, stand-alone marketing role.
  • Experience working within a premium visitor attraction or similar venue.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience working in a ticketed venue, leisure, hospitality, or destination-based environment.
  • Ability to interpret sales, trading, and audience data to inform fast, effective marketing decision-making.
  • Able to confidently use CRM platforms to manage data, segment audiences, track engagement and support effective campaign delivery.
  • Understands key paid advertising channels and can interpret performance metrics to support targeted, ROI-driven campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of email performance metrics and the ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
  • Strong brand awareness and copywriting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Experience delivering effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Proficient with WordPress, Mailchimp, and major social media platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to an advanced level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organised with strong time-management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Confident budget management and strong numerical skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
