Main duties of the job:
- Receiving patients and helping them where possible.
- Booking appointments on computers.
- Using the telephone, answering routine inquiries.
- Taking and giving messages to patients, doctors/nurses.
- Administrative/Clerical duties.
- Use of computers for repeat prescriptions, appointments etc.
- Handling general enquiries, explaining surgery procedures, making new and follow up appointments.
- Dealing appropriately with various forms.
- Scanning.
- Recording requests for home visits and messages.
- Any other duties, which may be required and agreed with the Practice.
Person Specification:
- Experience in dealing with patients and good telephone manner and able to work as part of a team.
- Experience of working in a GP practice.
