We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are a well established pub set in the heart of Surrey with a 3 AA rosette rating held since 2021. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As Senior Sous Chef you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to 3AA Rosette standards.
  • Assist Executive Chef with smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
  • Lead the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high quality service levels.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

  • Assist the Executive Chef with GP tracking, stock control & supplier relationship management.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management and training.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a desire to contribute positively to the kitchen environment.
  • Experience in a 2 or 3 Rosette kitchen environment.
