We’re on the lookout for a Head Vet to lead our fabulous team at Waltham Forest! This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead the continuous improvement of our clinical standards and services, and to upskill colleagues to support our aim of being a centre of clinical excellence.
What we’re looking for
Our new Head Vet will be a key member of our surgery’s management team. We’re seeking someone with a high level of clinical expertise who is passionate about delivering outstanding care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a leadership role, with the drive and passion to implement a strategic vision, coaching and inspiring our team to consistently deliver gold-standard, evidence-based care. The working pattern is 4 days a week with 1:4 weekends. There are no OOH shifts, but the Head Vet may need to be on call for overnight inpatient cases.

Our passionate, friendly team currently includes 1 Senior Vet, 4 Vets, and 6 RVNs. Clinical specialties include orthopaedics, exotic pet care, and BOAS surgery. We have a balanced client base of 50% dogs and 50% cats, making this a great opportunity for those interested in feline medicine. We are committed to continuous professional development, regularly implementing new initiatives to address skill gaps across all levels of our surgery.
