Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion team on a full-time basis, ideally working four days per week. The position offers 20-minute consultations, a varied medical and surgical caseload, protected lunch breaks, and a 1-in-3 Saturday morning rota. Some independent working will be required at a nearby branch, making this an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who is comfortable managing cases autonomously while remaining part of a highly experienced clinical team.
The role provides access to recently updated facilities including two operating theatres, dental radiography, ultrasound, and a strong nursing complement. There is genuine scope to introduce new clinical skills, pursue further professional development, and shape individual areas of interest within an environment that places a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care and sustainable working patterns.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration with solid experience in small animal practice
- Confidence handling a full consultation and surgical workload
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions when required
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to colleagues and clientsMotivation to continue developing clinical knowledge and introduce new skills where appropriate
