Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to provide maternity cover in a lead clinical role, supporting patient care, client communication, and day-to-day clinical standards within a small animal practice. This opportunity would suit a confident vet who enjoys mentoring colleagues, guiding clinical decisions, and working closely with the wider practice team to maintain a smooth and effective service.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration or eligibility to register is essential
- Previous experience in a senior or lead clinical role would be beneficial
- Confident mentoring colleagues and supporting clinical development
- Strong understanding of patient care, compliance, and case management
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, nurses, vets, and support teams
Responsibilities:
- Leading clinical standards across consultations, procedures, and patient monitoring
- Supporting accurate estimates, treatment plans, records, and clinical handovers
- Helping colleagues develop through coaching, guidance, and shared best practice
- Working with the Practice Manager to support efficient daily clinic performance
- Managing client concerns professionally and maintaining strong care standards
