Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a permanent part-time position offering approximately 30 hours per week. This opportunity would suit a capable GP clinician who enjoys a varied mix of consultations and surgery, values strong case continuity, and takes pride in developing lasting relationships with clients. Some occasional sole-charge work may be required, with clinical support available when needed.
The position offers access to well-equipped facilities including in-house laboratory capabilities, ultrasound, radiography, operating theatres, and dedicated dental facilities with dental radiography. Visiting clinicians provide additional expertise across areas including internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, and ophthalmology. Working arrangements can offer flexibility around existing commitments, with no out-of-hours or on-call requirement and a shared weekend rota of no more than approximately 1-in-5 Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration with suitable experience in small animal clinical practice
- Confidence handling routine consultations, medical work-ups, and general surgical procedures
- Ability to work independently when required while making effective use of available clinical support
- A dependable and proactive approach to patient care and day-to-day caseload management
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on continuity of care and client communication
Package:
- Approximately 30 hours per week with flexibility around individual commitments
- No out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities
- Shared weekend rota limited to approximately 1-in-5 mornings
