Our client is seeking a dedicated Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a progressive institutional veterinary service supporting research and animal‑care facilities. The role will involve delivering clinical and consultative veterinary services across a variety of research and animal‑housing settings, ensuring welfare, compliance, and high standards of care. Responsibilities
- Providing veterinary oversight and clinical support for a wide range of species used in research and institutional housing
- Reviewing and consulting on animal care protocols, anesthesia plans, and surgery/procedure scheduling
- Ensuring compliance with institutional, provincial, and national guidelines for animal welfare and research ethics
- Monitoring animal health, performing diagnostic and treatment procedures, and managing sickness, recovery, and emergency care as needed
- Collaborating with animal care technicians, research personnel, and administrative staff to maintain welfare standards and facility operations
