Our client is seeking a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a friendly, well-established first-opinion practice, with full-time or part-time hours available. This role would suit a confident vet who enjoys building lasting client relationships, working with a varied small animal caseload, and being part of a collaborative team that supports ongoing development.
The position offers access to a well-equipped clinical environment, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, separate cat and dog wards, and in-house laboratory facilities. Responsibilities
- Managing small animal consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical cases
- Using available imaging, lab, and theatre facilities to support thorough case workups
- Working closely with nursing and support colleagues to keep patient care organised and consistent
- Building trust with clients through clear communication and a reassuring approach
- Contributing to a positive team culture where development and shared standards are encouraged
Qualifications Needed
- RCVS registration or eligibility to register as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK
- Confident small animal GP experience across medicine, diagnostics, and surgery
- Comfortable handling a varied first-opinion caseload with clinical autonomy
- Strong client care skills and a practical, team-focused attitude
- Interest in continued CPD or developing specific clinical areas would be welcomed
