Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a hospital-based first-opinion team with strong surgical capacity and broad diagnostics. You’ll enjoy a steady, varied GP caseload with the kit and colleagues to work cases up properly, from consults and dentistry to routine soft-tissue lists—supported by certificate holders and clear clinical pathways.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing consults that end with practical, staged diagnostic and treatment plans
- Building efficient day-case surgical lists (routine soft tissue and dentals) with smooth turnarounds
- Using ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house lab results to reach timely, evidence-based decisions
- Partnering with RVNs for safe anesthesia, attentive inpatient care and tidy theatre flow
- Documenting crisp notes and contributing to case discussions that improve patient pathways
Package:
- 39-hour week arranged over 4 or 5 days to balance consults and theatre time
- 1-in-4 Saturday rota with weekdays organized to preserve recovery time
