Job Details: Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their caring, supportive team that values work-life balance. This is displayed in numerous ways via their daily schedules. A lunch break is guaranteed, with time specifically allocated for catching up, calls, and emergencies.
The practice team can accommodate either full or part-time hours alongside an established team of 5 vets and additional clinical team of RVNs and an excellent reception team. Our client is a well-organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload.
Ideally, they will need someone to cover Thursday and Friday; however, the rota is flexible enough to accommodate different shift patterns and a number of options are available. Alternatives include:
- Tuesday 10am to 4pm
- 2 full days with a shorter Tuesday, plus a Friday day off swap
- Possible alternating every other Friday as a day off
If your preference is consulting only, this is possible. If you are on a 2-day week rota, then you would have an operating day every other week to balance out the full-time staff members. They are happy to meet vets that require flexibility, whether this be a full 4 days, 2-3 days per week, a consulting only role, short days, or part-time while completing a certificate.
To maintain your work-life balance, you will work within a 1 in 4 weekend rota, Saturday only from 9am to 12 noon sole charge with 2 RVNs and 2 receptionists in the practice and no OOH.
