Our client is seeking a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a welcoming practice on a part-time basis, working three days each week. The position combines consultations, routine surgery and occasional sole-charge duties within a supportive clinical setting focused on delivering consistently high standards of patient and client care.
The working pattern includes shorter shifts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, a full day on Friday and participation in a limited Saturday morning rota. There are no Sunday, bank holiday or out-of-hours requirements, making this an appealing opportunity for a vet seeking a predictable and balanced schedule.
The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop professionally, with support available for further qualifications and involvement in mentoring newly qualified veterinarians as a Vet GDP Advisor.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing routine consultations and developing appropriate treatment plans
- Performing general surgical procedures with confidence and care
- Providing sole-charge clinical cover when required
- Maintaining clear communication with clients throughout each patient’s treatment
- Supporting less experienced veterinary colleagues where appropriate
Package:
- Part-time schedule across three established weekdays
- Tuesday and Wednesday shifts of approximately five hours each
- Ten-hour working day on Fridays
- Limited Saturday morning rota from 9:00am to 12:00pm
- No Sunday, bank holiday or out-of-hours commitments
- 6.6 weeks of annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
- RCVS membership fees and professional indemnity cover funded
- £1,750 annual CPD allowance calculated on a pro-rata basis
- Enhanced allowance available for certificate holders
- Supported clinical development and funded training opportunities
