Our client is seeking a Head Small Animal Vet Surgeon to provide clinical leadership across two established first-opinion sites, while still remaining very hands-on with day-to-day cases. This role is ideal if you enjoy working cases up thoroughly, building long-term bonds with clients and guiding a team towards consistently high clinical standards rather than quick “in-and-out” consults. With a four-day week, shared Saturday rota and no out-of-hours, the position offers genuine balance alongside meaningful responsibility.
You will be supported by a wider network of senior vets and advanced practitioners in surgery and ophthalmology, allowing you to discuss complex cases and develop new services with confidence. The culture is open, collaborative and improvement-focused, with regular quality meetings, a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine and a genuine “no blame” approach to learning from experience.
