Job Details:
We have an unmissable opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly team! They are a close-knit, collaborative team with a great sense of humour and complete clinical freedom. You'll be joining a team made up of 2 vets, who have 19 and 10 years' of experience, 4 nurses, 1 student nurse, 2 veterinary care assistants, 3 receptionists and 1 practice manager. They are looking for someone who aims to be a good all-round GP with a surgical bias but all interests would be considered for the right candidate. They prioritise personality over experience although some experience would come in handy. They focus on making sure they have an excellent quality of work rather than quantity and have an average of only 12 consults per vet per day with a reasonable procedural load.
Ideally this is a full-time role, however they will also consider part time applicants. Our client has short shifts and a reasonable workload to allow for a life outside of work. Shifts run from either 08:30-16:30 or 11:00-19:30 and there will be 3 early shifts for every 2 late shifts. Only 1 in 4 weekends will be required, with time off in lieu for the hours worked. You'll get every 4th Friday off and every 4th Monday will be a half day. 8am-7pm are considered paid work hours at the weekend, although you're only expected to be in the practice 08:30-14:00 on Saturday, only coming in in addition to this if there are emergency callouts. They also make sure dedicated admin time is scheduled into the work rota to further allow you to have an excellent work/life balance.
Package:
- 5.6 weeks holiday
- Life Assurance 4 x Annual Salary
- Contributory Pension Scheme
- Paid Memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
- CPD encouraged including support towards certificates or equivalent
