About the team.

The role sits within the Group Planning, Analysis & Reporting Finance Team – a pivotal team within the Finance Community of The Very Group. The team provides insightfully consistent management reporting to the Executive Team and Group Board, influencing strategic thinking and creating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range plans.

About the role.

The Tal ent Acquisition Manager will own all Group Planning processes, deliver accurate and timely forecasts, and manage a team of three individuals. You will engage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and drive continuous improvement in forecasting and planning.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Own all Group Planning Processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prepare and deliver analysis supporting board decision‑making.
  • Define, communicate, and manage planning and forecasting processes to deadlines, ensuring financial outputs are accurate and aligned with governance and control frameworks.
  • Assess information quality, focus on critical issues, and act as a trusted partner across the function.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in forecasting and ways of working to continuously improve the function.
  • Develop planning tools, proposing solutions that fully utilise existing tools (Hyperion and Excel).
  • Work cross‑functionally to develop a migration roadmap to an Oracle EPM solution.

About you.

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualified experience and a proven track record of delivering change.
  • Organisational skills and experience managing complex financial processes.
  • FP&A experience and comfort working with financial models.
  • Strong leadership, social confidence, and charisma to build stakeholder relationships.
  • Low ego, collaborative, commercially focused, and detail‑oriented.
  • Proven successes in developing insightful reporting for executive and board‑level decision‑making.
  • Technical ability and familiarity with Hyperion/Oracle EPM products, and strong analytical skills.
  • Sound understanding of all primary financial statements.
