The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
The role is wide ranging and diverse with consistent opportunities to develop, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Playing a key role in ESG engagement across all levels and functions of The Very Group.
- Ensuring performance units and their colleague populations are setup to play their part in delivery of strategic commitments.
- Monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of ESG initiatives with the aim of achieving desired ESG vision and outcomes.
- Assessing ESG risk on a periodic basis and producing periodic reports for the Head of ESG, Enterprise Risk Management and the ESG Committee.
- Design of centralised monitoring and reporting infrastructure to update leadership team on progress against strategic commitments, ensuring tracking of sustainability goals in line with the ESG strategy.
- Keeping up to date on the current ESG landscape, new legislation and best practice guidelines and understanding how they may affect TVG.
- Responsible for undertaking and delivering external reporting including the modern slavery statement, UNGC COP, annual report and other reports as necessary.

- Demonstrable ability to drive a comprehensive ESG strategy and achieve consensus with diverse stakeholders in a retail environment.
- The ability to motivate and influence people at all levels to engage in ESG and change behaviours.
- Ability to report on ESG performance with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and the pressure of deadlines.
- Capable of independently representing ESG both internally and externally.
- Excellent knowledge of ESG matters relevant to an online, multi-product retailer.
- Discretion and confidentiality.
- A willingness to travel in the UK and Internationally on a regular basis.
