About the team
Our own brand technologist team,work in a fast-paced environment and with suppliers acrossthe Far East,Europeand the UK to source and developgreat valuetrend led products for our customers.Reporting intotheTechnical Manageryou will worktoensurethat our products aregood quality, fit for purpose andsafe to sell; whilst also maximizing speed to market, sales and profit and minimizing markdown through low returns.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Technologist to join us.
The roleis responsible forproduct developmentfrom first fit to production–looking aftermultiproduct categories. You will work closely with an internal design team,buying,merchandisingand your supply base to developproducts.
- Buildingstrongrelationshipswithyourtrading teams, sourcing hubcolleaguesandsupplierstodevelop strategies forareas ofimprovement andtomaximize success.
- Havinga clear understanding of department critical path, supplybaseand trading calendar.
- Developingknowledge of allUK/EU legislation to ensure all new products comply.
- Develop knowledge and support asneededthe team oftechnologistsand the global product compliance teamin the management ofsupplierquality failures.
About you
We’relooking for a candidatewho already hasproduct developmentexperience fromfirst fit through to productionwithin fashionandisable todemonstratean understandingofhow todevelop a product range with a consistent fit and qualitywhilstworkingclosely with designers and suppliers.
- An understanding of grading and sizing regulations.
- Numerical and analytical skillstoreview returns data.
- An understanding of manufacturing faults and how to preventthesegoing forward.
- An understanding of supply chain issues, for example: lead times/ flexibility/ supplier capability.
- Able to work on your own initiative to complete tasks within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of office 365.
- You will be highly organised withgreat communicationskills.
