About the role. The Talent & Development Partner will deliver learning initiatives and performance processes whilst ensuring all colleagues receive the “Very Experience”, making our fulfilment site Skygate the best place to work, learn and grow in the local area. By collaborating with the local leadership team, you will promote operational excellence and motivate, guide, and support your colleagues on site. With strong stakeholder relationship skills, you’ll be an integral part of the Skygate Operational Leadership Team and be a driving force for promoting purpose and meaning at work, whilst ensuring clear progression opportunities and social mobility for our Skygate colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Improving management capability and leading learning initiatives, ultimately making The Very Group the employer of choice in the area.
- Provide and manage data points which contribute to a monthly ROI report which adds real value to the operation.
- Understand the wider business strategy and that of fulfilment and Skygate and use this to drive culture change which results in tangible attraction and retention benefits.
- Create, facilitate and deliver learning opportunities, whereby our driven and committed colleagues can upskill, re-skill and fulfil their promise.
- Drive the upskill and reskill of our Team Manager colleagues.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of performance, including standards and behaviours.
- Promote, coach & advise on the L&D offering.
- Keep up to date with new learning techniques and industry related innovation.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation to ensure visibility of the L&D function.
About you. Experience in a similar L&D role of design, delivery and evaluation with a strong understanding of workplace learning principles. Delivered and facilitated leadership and behavioural learning initiatives. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter with high attention to detail who works well under deadlines. PC Literate able to build, develop and manipulate complex training plans. Relevant industry experience. Paperless / Digital innovations.
