Join The Verdancy Group, a leading force in green skills training and sustainability consultancy.

As a trusted voice in sustainability and green skills, we’re supporting the UK’s transition to net zero by building the capabilities needed for long-term environmental change.

At The Verdancy Group, we believe climate goals and skills goals go hand in hand. We\’re here to close the green skills gap and help people into meaningful, future-ready careers, from retrofit and renewables to sustainability and circular economy roles.

We are part of Fedcap UK, a national organisation dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve long-term success.

Build The Future Of Green Skills

We’re looking for a Head of Technical Training to lead a new training centre at the heart of the UK’s net zero transition. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing high-quality training programmes, setting up an innovative, hands-on learning environment, and building a team of expert trainers.

This is a great opportunity to lead both the day-to-day delivery and long-term strategic growth of a national hub for retrofit and low-carbon construction skills. As the team grows, your role will evolve into a senior leadership position, focused on innovation, quality, and programme expansion across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the design, setup, and delivery of our new Net Zero Training Centre
  • Designing and delivering high-quality training across retrofit and net zero topics, including PAS 2035 roles, insulation, airtightness, ventilation, and heat decarbonisation.
  • Specifying equipment, developing hands-on rigs, and shaping engaging learning environments
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a growing technical training team
  • Ensuring all programmes meet industry and accreditation standards (e.g. PAS 2035, NOCN)
  • Innovating delivery models—including blended, practical-first, and workplace learning
  • Representing The Verdancy Group with employers, partners, and sector stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development of new programmes and national expansion plans

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in delivering technical training in retrofit, low-carbon, or construction sectors
  • Strong leadership and centre development experience—ideally from a start-up or growth phase
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards (e.g. PAS 2035) and practical training delivery
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-building skills
  • A passion for innovation, quality, and learner success
  • Lead a flagship national centre for green skills
  • Shape programmes and infrastructure that drive real environmental and social change
  • Join a dynamic, mission-driven team committed to net zero and sustainability
  • Enjoy flexible working, strong CPD support, and long-term career opportunities
  • Leave a lasting legacy in the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future

Ready to lead from the front in the green skills revolution? Apply now and help build the centre that builds the future.
