We are seeking a Room Attendant for Sedgebrook Hall, part of The Venues Collection.

As a Room Attendant, you will ensure all hotel bedrooms, corridors, and public areas are cleaned, prepared, and maintained to the highest standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service rooms allocated by the housekeeper according to the Housekeeping Standards.
  • Carry out routine and periodic cleaning in assigned areas, as directed by Supervisors.
  • Strictly adhere to all COSHH regulations regarding the use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Report maintenance faults in rooms to the Housekeeper management.
  • Keep corridors clean, safely discard dirty linen, trays, and equipment.
  • Report missing items (e.g., bathrobes, blankets) to the Floor Housekeeper.
  • Pass guest requests to Housekeeper management.
  • Report guest illness to Housekeeper management.
  • Report suspected smoking in bedrooms to the Supervisor.
  • Hand in lost property to Housekeeper management, ensuring valuables are kept safe.
  • Report suspicious persons and keep guest rooms locked at all times.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms as needed (e.g., laundry, dry cleaning).
  • Assist public area cleaners if required.

  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings to understand hotel and department objectives.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve hotel goals.
  • Be familiar with hotel services and facilities.
  • Attend daily briefings to stay informed about the hotel\’s operations.
  • Organize work tasks efficiently to maximize productivity.
  • Act professionally and politely to all guests and customers.
  • Use positive body language to portray a professional image.
  • Check guest satisfaction and address additional requirements.

Training & Development

  • Participate in daily training sessions for personal development and role performance.
  • Attend all fire, hygiene, health & safety training, and apply the knowledge gained.

Health & Safety

  • Follow company health & safety procedures.
  • Be familiar with fire evacuation procedures.
  • Follow proper procedures when entering guest bedrooms.
  • Report accidents involving guests or staff.
  • Ensure stores and services are secured when unattended.
  • Keep bedroom doors locked.
  • Report hazards and keep customer details confidential.
  • Manage hotel keys responsibly.
  • Comply with relevant legislation and legal requirements.
