Role and Responsibilities
Assistant β Zero Hours β The Role
Guest Service
- Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests, delegates, and visitors
- Assist guests with enquiries and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service in line with Yarnfield Park standards
Food & Beverage Service
- Assist with the setup, service, and clear-down of conference rooms, restaurants, bars, and event spaces
- Serve food and beverages in a professional and hygienic manner
- Support buffet, banqueting, and refreshment services for conferences and events
- Ensure service areas are clean, well-stocked, and presented to a high standard
Events & Conference Support
- Set up rooms according to event requirements (layouts, equipment, refreshments)
- Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery
- Respond to last-minute changes or guest requests efficiently
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow company procedures at all times
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents to management promptly
Teamwork & Flexibility
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
- Be flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
- Support other areas of the business when needed
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Desirable
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, events, or customer service
- Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working in a conference or large venue environment
