Work closely with departmental heads and senior management to align HR strategies with operational needs. Be an integral part of the senior leadership team, using HR strategy and analytics to support business objectives and ensure each property meets its brand and customer requirements.
Coaching and develop senior and operational leaders to be a great boss in the self-sufficient performance management of their teams. Working collaboratively with central HR functions, conducting hotel talent reviews and maintaining robust succession and attraction plans that meet immediate and future workforce demands.
Be a custodian of employee experience and partner with the Leadership team to positively impact engagement and retention rates. Support in the delivery and coordination of talent acquisition events, attraction initiatives/projects, graduate/intern/apprentice/work-experience placements and external talent acquisition partnerships.
To ensure that a rigorous recruitment & selection process is applied to ensure the highest calibre of staff are employed. Assist in the delivery and communication of new HR initiatives, policy and procedures and participate in regional projects as they arise. Support in the effective communication strategy for employees. To update the staff noticeboard on a regular basis.
Drive the employee lifecycle; recruitment experience, on-boarding journey, performance reviews, development & succession, exit interview support and promote wellbeing. To confidently handle employee relation matters in line with UK employment law. Assist in the delivery and communication of new HR initiatives, policy and procedures. Support in the delivery and communication of recruitment events and partnerships.
Work closely with Director of HR & Finance to develop and manage the HR budget. Champion Biltmore's culture at the hotel to inspire high-performing multi-cultural teams. To manage the processing of payroll and work closely with payroll team (Head Office), and ensure accuracy as well as deadlines are met. Streamline administration to a paperless system where possible.
To be the first point of contact for enquiries to the HR Department (telephone/walk in). Complete all starter/leaver/transfer paperwork. To send out probationary review reminders in a timely manner. Deal with staff queries in an efficient manner and handle confidential information with discretion. Creative, energetic and able to think outside the box when delivering employee engagement. Conduct new hires Orientation training.

- HR Generalist background, with proven business partnering experience in a luxury hotel
- Strong influencing skills, with the courage to challenge.
- Ability to travel between hotels if required by the business
- Agile and driven to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and engage all stakeholders
- CIPD qualified is highly desirable
- Excellent IT and administration skills.
