Major UK Provider of Radio Systems. Salary £35K Basic + Car/Car Allowance + Benefits. Being a leading independent communications supplier, specialising in the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of wireless voice and data networks. Our client has a great dedicated radio engineering team in the UK. With continued expansion, they are now seeking a Field Radio Engineer to join this thriving business.

You will be working within the dedicated engineering team and be personally responsible for providing bespoke technical solutions for customers and SMEs on all Radio Engineering.

  • Preparation CODEPLUGS/FLEET Plans for customer requirements (Motorola & Hytera).
  • Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of telecommunication equipment from different vendors: site maintenance and servicing.
  • Faults management with log analysis, defects debug and work around responsibility.
  • Business support: customer needs analysis and customer presentation of new products.
  • Involved in providing technical support to the communication systems in major contracts.

2+ years experience from within either military or commercial Radio communication.

  • Strong IT experience specifically: database management & networking topologies & TCP/IP & DMR/PMR software applications.
  • Experience in fault finding across a multitude of telecommunication platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of PMR programming software Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood and Hytera.
  • Trunk Radio (MPT1327) database management.
  • COTS radio repair down to component level, namely Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood and Hytera.
