With over 30 years of experience and 18 cutting-edge sites across the UK, The Vella Group is recognised for excellence, innovation, and industry-leading repair standards. As we continue to grow, we\’re looking for an experienced MET Technician to join our high-performing team in Trafford Park.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you’ll play a vital part in safely and efficiently restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out precise dismantling and reassembly of mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Performing four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments using manufacturer-approved methods
• Ensuring full vehicle protection throughout each repair
• Working collaboratively with Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Production teams
• Following all health & safety protocols, including COSHH and PPE standards
• Supporting repairs on electric vehicles and staying current with new vehicle technologies

About You

You’ll be a confident, proactive, and detail-focused technician with a passion for quality workmanship. Ideally, you bring:

• IMI/ATA MET Technician qualification (or equivalent Bodyshop experience)
• Demonstrable experience in accident repair and vehicle rebuilds
• A full UK driving licence (required)
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer and vehicle outcomes
• Experience with EVs or a willingness to learn (desirable)

This is a fully on-site role based at our Trafford Park (Manchester) repair centre.
