We are now looking for a professional and motivated Central VDA to join our dedicated Centralised Vehicle Damage Assessment Team.

As a member of our Central VDA Team, you will carry out all standard Vehicle Damage Assessor duties, producing accurate assessments using images and information provided by customers, insurers, or our branch network. You will also support branches remotely and occasionally in person, and assist with wider business tasks as required. This is a home-based role, however travel to branches may be requested with reasonable notice on the odd occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating precise and compliant assessments using supplied images, customer information and insurer requirements.
  • Requesting additional information or imagery where needed to ensure assessment accuracy.
  • Conducting end‑of‑repair assessment reviews for designated branches, ensuring correct methodology, charge‑out, justification, and quality of presentation.
  • Liaising with Engineers to ensure inspection/authority SLAs are achieved for all assessments submitted.
  • Providing proactive support to colleagues and departments across the business.
  • Demonstrating strong working knowledge of Audatex and E‑Scribe.
  • Maintaining an up‑to‑date understanding of all insurer contracts.
  • Managing your workload effectively with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Recording accurate notes, communications, and actions in the company management system.
  • Working confidently both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Adhering to company procedures and demonstrating flexibility to support business needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Attending training and development sessions as required.
  • Representing The Vella Group professionally at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced VDA or strong understanding of vehicle damage assessment processes.
  • Solid knowledge of Audatex and E‑Scribe systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based role.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage workload efficiently.

What We Offer:

  • Home-based working with flexibility (role is subject to future review).
  • Opportunity to work for an industry-leading, growing accident repair provider.
  • Supportive team environment and ongoing professional development.
  • Chance to be part of a forward-thinking company with modern systems and processes.

Benefits:

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pension scheme.
