Vanguard is heavily investing and committing to build a world-class mobile experience for our clients and we are looking to hire top talent to build our iOS native apps.
Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vanguard Personal Investor app. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with third party back-end services. You will be working alongside a team of engineers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
Responsibilities
- Help to create reliable applications for the iOS platform that makes investing simple and straightforward for customers.
- You will be involved in the whole life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application.
- Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports.
- Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
- Provide senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
- Integrate third party products & participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
- Participate in systems analysis activities.
- Understand client business functions and technology needs.
- Understand Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
- Learn and align with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for people who are passionate about providing outstanding service for our clients, understand how to translate business requirements into world class software products.
You will also need to have:
- Proven experience in iOS development, with a focus on building and shipping high-quality consumer applications.
- Demonstrated ability to understand product goals and translate them into technical solutions that resonate with users.
- Advanced proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and familiarity with MVVM or other architectural patterns in iOS.
- Hands-on expertise integrating backend services (preferably using Kotlin-based BFFs), and familiarity with modern observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, or Sentry.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Fastlane) is required.
- The ability to deliver high-quality mobile solutions in a collaborative, agile environment is essential.
Special Factors
