Vanguard Credit Research is recruiting for a Primary European High Yield Analyst to support the Active High Yield Credit Team. The High Yield team is expanding its global focus with the build out of European High Yield credit capabilities. The team focuses on investing a dedicated portion of broader credit funds and supporting future business development. As part of the team, you will work with an established group of investment professionals to maximize the risk/return potential of high-yield investments while collaborating with the larger Credit Research Team.
In this role, you will provide investment recommendations on high-yield investments in the European market, including fundamental and relative value views. The analyst should cover cyclical and non-cyclical sectors (sector specialists may also be considered). The research process is focused and collaborative and will include written opinions, models, and credit addition to investment research. You will be expected to take on strategic projects within the High Yield team and for the broader Fixed Income platform. Development of others is a key business focus; you must provide mentorship and guidance to crew across the platform.
Qualifications (What it takes)
- Undergraduate degree; graduate degree and CFA preferred.
- Six years investment management experience with at least two years of primary coverage; Active High Yield Credit and/or Fixed Income experience preferred.
- Excellent quantitative/modeling skills.
- Experience with leveraged loans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
