You will be responsible for ensuring that our students, staff and external visitors have safe access to the library study spaces and to provide a basic level of support to all of our library users, ensuring they make the most of the library’s services and facilities. You will have a responsibility for ensuring the effective operation of all library circulation activity including circulation of print books and journals and other loanable devices (e.g. laptops) and will also be required to carry out other general library duties including shelving, roving support, monitoring and maintaining the learning environment, providing support from the helpdesk and troubleshooting equipment issues.

You should work well as part of a small team but must also be able to work independently during occasional periods of lone-working. The pattern of work for this post will consist of working five weekday evenings, 4 pm-midnight.
