We’re looking for a capable, solutions-focused Systems Support & Development Officer to join our Student Systems Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and enhancing our Student Management System (SITS:Vision) and e:Vision portal - helping to streamline student administration processes and improve the experience of both students and staff across the University.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting and developing SITS:Vision and e:Vision.
- Leading system development work from initial idea through to implementation.
- Gathering, analysing and translating requirements into effective system solutions.
- Developing and configuring e:Vision functionality using content‑management tools.
- Maintaining system data, user access, documentation and configuration.
- Contributing to system testing, upgrades, quality assurance and staff training.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Registry, Faculties and Professional Services.
Experience Required:
- Experience working with SITS:Vision or a similar student records system.
- Strong technical skills — e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL.
- Experience developing, supporting or maintaining complex systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Experience of working in Higher Education.
- Knowledge of e:Vision content‑management tools (e.g. SRLs, Tasking, Vistas, IPP processes).
- Experience with system integrations or StuTalk.
This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement - typically 2 days on campus and 3 days from home. You’ll be based at City Campus (Wolverhampton) with occasional travel to other campuses.
