The Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Officer will support the Enterprise Development Manager and Senior Officers Enterprise Development in developing services and support for student and graduate enterprise and business start-up.
We are looking to appoint someone who can provide comprehensive advice, support and guidance to students and alumni looking to become self-employed or start a business through one-to-one support, delivery of workshops and events and robust signposting.
The role will support the delivery of tailored enterprise and entrepreneurship support and related programmes of activity to ensure students are fully supported to reach their self-employment and business start-up goals and become successful in their entrepreneurship endeavours.
You will be knowledgeable and passionate about student and graduate enterprise and contribute to establishing innovative and engaging services, which will create an enterprising culture.
We are looking for someone with a high level of emotional intelligence and who has the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels across the University to ensure quality service delivery, demonstrating political awareness, diplomacy and tact.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive advice, support and guidance to students and alumni looking to become self-employed or start a business through one-to-one support, delivery of workshops and events and robust signposting.
- Support the delivery of tailored enterprise and entrepreneurship programmes of activity to help students reach self-employment and start-up goals.
- Develop innovative and engaging services to establish an enterprising culture within the University.
- Build strong working relationships with staff at all levels across the University to ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Ability to provide information, guidance and practical support for student and graduate enterprise and business start-ups.
- High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to develop relationships across the University and with external partners.
- Political awareness, diplomacy and tact in stakeholder engagement.
